Announcing... Patrick Robert Grice

I have a new nephew! 😍

Patrick Robert Grice
November 16, 2017
12:51 am
21 1/4" long
8lb 1oz

The first picture they sent us! (Like around 1:30 in the morning! I kept my phone in bed with me on vibrate all night.) 😀

I snapped this screenshot when Nate and Virginia FaceTimed us the day after he was born.

Mom, KK and I left for TN the morning Patrick was born. Nate kept sending us these adorable pictures the whole way there.

We could hardly wait to kiss that sweet little face!

It's a 12+ hour drive to Manchester, TN.

We got stuck in rush hour traffic in Nashville... It was awful! We crept along the interstate for over an hour. Because of the delay, we weren't able to see Patrick that evening. Nasty Nashville! 😠

But... the next morning...

I am SO in love with this baby! 😍

Sleepy head

Look at his milk mustache! 😂

He looked so tiny in big Uncle KK's arms.

Peace, bro.

We think he's a good mixture of Grice and Rudolph in his looks. It's hard to tell, though. Babies change their looks so fast!

Nate ordered Gin's hospital lunch for her so that she could rest while we were gone. It was so fun catching up with Nate again!

Arby's butter cookie shake 👍

This is the hospital they were in in Chattanooga.

We couldn't stop exclaiming over the gorgeous Tennessee landscape. If we'd only visited a few weeks earlier, the trees would've been out of this world pretty.

We got to drive through Georgia on our way to Chattanooga. Another state checked off my list.

Sweet little family

Check out those eyelashes, girls!

Gin and Patrick were going to be discharged the next morning, so we just hung around our hotel and drove around Manchester and Tullahoma before deciding to go to The Celtic Cup, a coffee shop that Nate and Gin told us about. Chattanooga is just over an hour south from where we were staying. We didn't want to drive all the way there, only to find out she was discharged.
Anyway, those scones were amazing!

Caramel Macchiato

After waiting around the whole day, we actually could've gone to see them! They didn't end up getting discharged till later that evening. Arg.

We got pizza, then headed over to see them one last time before leaving early the next morning.

Little Paddy was so cute!

He kept cracking little smiles.

I snapped one last picture before leaving, along with one last kiss. It was SO hard to say goodbye! I had to fight back tears as we gave a last round of hugs and kisses to Paddy.

😉

I'm so thankful for modern technology! Nate and Gin text us pictures everyday of our little man, or little dude, as KK calls him.

Welcome to the family sweet little Patrick! Your aunt Emmie loves you!

Trying to Catch Up...

As you have probably noticed, I've gone off the radar for awhile. Ok, for a long time. I have one word for you. Life. Guys, life reall...
