Happy Anniversary, Rusty & Diana! Happy Birthday Kels & TJ.!

We've had quite a few birthdays and anniversaries lately...

Sat., Feb 8th was spent giving the main level of our house a good cleaning. Oh! did it ever need it! Abi and I clean so much during the week that we are ready to be done cleaning by the time Saturday rolls around. So, our house gets neglected. :)

We pulled the furniture out and mopped underneath it all.

It was hard work, but oh, so fulfilling!

That night we went over to Aunt Carol's to celebrate TJ.'s 21st birthday (He's 1 year and 1 month younger than me). He had shrimp and fettuccine alfredo for supper, ice cream cake and german chocolate cake for desert. Yum! Anyway, Katelyn loved the green frosting on the ice cream cake! :)

The next day, Sun., we were hospitality. We had Rusty and Diana and Ry and Kels over.

It was Rusty and Diana's anniversary, so we got them a cake and Mom got Diana a chocolate whoopie pie. :)

Buttery, garlicky, ooey gooey, but slighlty crispy garlic bread- done to perfection.

Katelynna loves to play with our toys!

She especially likes this goofy looking Valentine bear.

And, she really loves Uncle Sam!

Mom got these as a treat for Abi and I. Abi didn't like them... Too bad, that just means more for me! :)

Nate had some gummy bears so he instantly became the little boys best friend. :)

Buggy likes Maggi!

Ah, the Sunday afternoon siesta...

Cake and ice cream time!

We tried giving Bug frosting again, but she didn't seem to like it this time. She'd just eaten, though, so she was prob'ly full.

This was a special day for Ry and Kels too. Back 3 years ago at the Smith's shop, a very special courtship began.

The happy couple, enjoying their cake and ice cream.

Ay thar, me lad! We have a box of nick-naks that belonged to my great grandfather (Gram's dad). He often wore bow ties. This was one that we have in the box.

Hm...

Feb. 11th was Kels birthday. Ryan had us wrap this present for her. He took her out for supper and after they were gone, Josh went over and left it on their couch. :)

A lady that we clean for gave us a Valentine candy basket. Yum! :)

Our life isn't all fun and games... We get down to the nitty-gritty actually quite often.

Guess what? We got to babysit Katelyn for the first time! When Ry took Kels out, they decided to leave Bug with us for the evening! Here she is, drinking water out of a straw.

She was so cute!

Open wide!

Abi got Katelyn to giggle! Before we took the video she was giggling a lot more. You can just barely hear her in the vid. Cutie!

Buggy loves her gravy!

She was so tired that she was falling asleep while she was eating and drinking.

Here's a video of Katelyn drinking water while falling asleep. :)

Somebody else must've been hungry.

Today, Thurs., Feb. 13th, we were going to have a skating party for KK's 15th birthday. Well, it's gotten so warm (upper 40s), that the ice got slushy so we weren't able to go.

I made cupcakes for a treat while skating and made a mocha and almond frosting. Wow! That mocha frosting was yummy!

Now, what do we do with all these cupcakes that don't have a home?

Take them to Sister's Meeting tonight!

Abi put snowmen marshmellows on the almond ones.

I sprinkled a little bit of instant coffee on the mocha ones as a garnish.
