This 'n' That

Toward the end of October, we got gravel for most of the driveway. It's needed it for a long time! :) Instead of having the gravel delivered, the boys hauled it themselves in the dump trailer. That definitely saves the moolah! :)

November was ushered in by a first-rate ripper of a storm. Abi and I were on our way home from cleaning Zooks', and, thankfully, just happened to have the camera along when the storm really started.  You should have seen us; Abi would yell out "Stop! There's a good shot!" Then I'd try to break as quickly as I could without sending us both up onto the dash, but still in time to capture the scene. We must've looked pretty funny, stopping every hundred feet or so and hanging out the windows with the camera. Never a dull moment when Abi and I are together! :)

Mom wanted the parking spots graveled for the winter.

Thar she blows!

Thanks to Edward's tractor, we were able to smooth the gravel without too much manual labor.

Look's like these two are working hard!

KK is so tall!

When Abi was in KY with Dad and the boys, they went to the Creation Museum. Abi brought back this little dino that grows when he's in the water.

I love watching Daddy read the papers. :)

Ry took Sam out and helped him smooth gravel.

It was so sweet to see our 'bookends' working together.

He even got to drive it himself, with Ryan right there, of course. :)

I call this the 'Rybrow.' The way she raises that eyebrow looks just like her Daddy.

Starting her early on ice cream. :)

The trees were beautiful this year!

Ok, here's the storm. The clouds were so diverse. Look at those sunbeams!

You could see the sheets of rain farther south.

Sunbeams and walls of rain...

I think I added too much saturation to this picture, but at least you get the idea of how the clouds looked. :)

The clouds changed every few seconds so we kept seeing new and better pictures. :)

This is right by the Grant-Elliot road. We decided to cross over to Q Ave. so that we could continue to take pictures.

It was breathtaking!

Nasty power lines...

The sun broke out just after we crossed Yankton. I love it when the sun shines out against a dark sky.

You should click on this picture to see it bigger... It's really neat!

This picture turned out blurry, but it was still a beautiful picture, so I just edited it and made it even more blurry. It looks like it was intentional blurriness, then. But, shh, that's a secret, just between you and me... ;)

You should click on this one too. It's my favorite.

I'm not sure what exporting did to this picture, but it changed it somehow. Let me tell you, it was lots pretty in high res!

Almost home! That's Victoria Rd.

Our gorgeous maple tree!

This is looking east in front of our house.

The next day was spent cleaning up the house. We had a 'girl's day' since the boys were having a 'work day' on the church and Bob and Annabel's house. Here, Mom and Abi are vacuuming the dusty furniture. That really helps keep the dust down!

Not very flattering, but here's mineself, cleaning the bathroom. :)

Trying to Catch Up...

As you have probably noticed, I've gone off the radar for awhile. Ok, for a long time. I have one word for you. Life. Guys, life reall...
