Texas Vacation- Day 7

Another gorgeous day at the beach!

We sang "The Lord is My Light" by memory during devotions that morning.

Cuteness personified

That morning, some went horseback riding on the beach.

Katelyn wanted to ride the horses so bad! We thought she would be able to, but on closer inspection of the website, we discovered that the age limit was 6. 😞She was very sad, but took the news like a good sport!

They had a little petting zoo there with a big fat pot belly pig.

While the others were horseback riding, the rest of us went shopping. We wanted to take Nate to some of our favorite shops.

We had to get photographic evidence of the boys' cooking day.

They made us bacon cheeseburgers for lunch.

Finished product

Because it was going to be so nice, we decided to make this our beach day. Lindie and I were going to ride the golf cart, but the rest were taking so long we decided to walk.

She was so cute in her over sized swim dress!

Everybody got in, even Ry!

Gram enjoyed watching from the golf cart. She even took her shoes off and walked in the waves for a bit.

Too cute for words!!!

They thought if they could dig around the clam hole, then maybe they could catch it.

Lil' miss got very dirty!

We loved going out about knee or mid thigh deep and letting the waves crash around us. I didn't go out as deep as the others. They were out so deep the waves were crashing over their heads!

Joseph overcame his fear of the water and had a good time.

If you stood in one place while softly stomping your feet, the sand would slowly erode out from under you. The boys got down about mid thigh! Their holes were so deep that you'd fall into them. We loved calling people over when a wave came and watching them panic as they fell into the hole. Sometimes you'd fall into one without any outside help. πŸ˜€

Oh, the joy of the freedom of childhood!

Evening is fast approaching...

We played musical chairs that night. It was hilarious! This is the end of one game. Go Kels!
