Masks, Cookies, Thumbographs, Snow... You Name It!

December has been quite the month! If it keeps on at this pace, we'll be worthless by next year... :)

Abi was going to clean the barn out. Because of how icky and dusty it was in there, she needed a mask.

Of course, the boys had to try them on too.

Sam was drawing up a plan for an A frame building that KK and he want to build out back in the tree line.

I wanted cookies and hot chocolate, so I made Snickerdoodles, my all time favorite cookie. Here I am, sampling the creamed butter, sugar and vanilla. Yum!

Sorry, we have to keep our recipe a secret. :)

The finished product!

As the boys were waiting for supper, Sam started playing that his spoon was a jet.

Sammy thought it would  be funny to line Dad's chair with newspaper.

Dad didn't seem to care, he sat in it anyway! :)

Abi rigged up some reins for Gwendolyn.

Abi wanted to document all of our thumb prints so she made what's known as a "Thumbograph."

KK had the most unique thumb prints out of all of us.

Abi made layered peppermint fudge for Garzas. We were going to be staying with them for the Body Life meetings that Zion was hosting.

This is about the only picture that I took at Garzas. Sammy and Kiana were making play dough snowmen. This is Sam's snowguy.

It snowed almost all day in Wellman and all day at home that Sunday. It was pretty bad on the way home from the meetings.

Dad and Ry decided that we should stop overnight at a hotel. All ten of us (including Katers, car seat, and luggage) crammed into the little elevator. It was a tight squeeze!

We had gotten supper at Arby's (Yum!) and, unbeknownst to us, Mom got herself a chocolate lava cake! She saved it till the hotel... No fair!

We all needed a recap meeting so we gathered in Ry and Kels' room.

Katelyn was being just adorable!

A huge mirror lined the wall at the head of the beds. Baby found herself to be quite interesting. :)

Uho, the inevitable hotel wrestling match.

Dog pile!

Somebody gave Kater a plastic wrapped hotel cup. She loved it!

Look at those eyes!

Any Scrooge would just have to fall in love with this baby!

Look, Mom, no hands!

She loves to grab people's hair. She doesn't pull it, just holds on. :)

Out of all of these, this picture is my favorite.

"Mom, I'm hungry!"

These interstate signs greeted us on our way home Monday morning.

We counted about 45 vehicles off the road between Des Moines and home.

The windows kept icing over, so we used a scraper to scrape them clean.

Somebody found a diaper in Ry and Kels' van. Josh just had to put it on KK's head. :)

Last, but not least, Shotgun packing Emmie! Ok, they're not real guns, but they look the real thing! :)
